Author Moira Timms,
in Beyond Prophecies and Predictions, has this to say:

"The Cosmic year, then, is comprised of the twelve zodiacal ages - a total of 25,826 years. During this great cosmic year, the Earth's axis will have pointed to each zodiac constellation in turn. This is called the precession of the equinoxes, or the equinoctial cycle. (Opinions differ as to the precise number of years in an age and an equinoctial cycle. The figures quoted here are based upon measurements given in the geometry of the Great Pyramid.)

"The Age of Pisces has been with us for the past two thousand years or so. Pisces is the sign of "self-undoing." We've been trapped in orbit, as it were, around the materialism, competitiveness, and limitation generated by Piscean energy (and are certainly almost undone.) In the Jungian sense, it could be said that because we are imperfect, we muddle along until a collective crisis occurs. This way, we unconsciously "undo" ourselves by the end of each cycle (Pisces is the last sign of the zodiac cycle) in order to bring about enough crisis to force us through, do or die, to the next highest level. What we are now experiencing is all the surface instability, precariousness, and velocity needed to break away from the confining matrix of Pisces to an expanded state of harmony and wisdom consistent with the influence of that benevolence which is Aquarius."
