Kindred Spirit!
These
Natural Time Updates are in service to our collective spiritual
and mental evolution, that we may continue to experience Time
as the Living Art of Harmony and Order. Synchronizing with this
13-Moon Dreamspell Calendar System, we are reconnecting with
our sacred relationship to Time, and co-creating a New Time
based in a culture of Peace - Peace with one another and Peace
with the Biosphere, the Mother of all Culture.
Distinct
from the traditional Mayan calendar, the Dreamspell is a revelatory
dispensation presented by Dr.
Jose Arguelles and Lloydine Arguelles. Although based on
the harmonic mathematics of Mayan calendrics, these codes are
universal, offering humanity a calendar
which models the intelligence of the Galactic Ordering Dynamic.
As
a "calendar of the future," this living language of
symbol, number, and color speaks to our consciousness on multiple
levels, and may produce feelings of deep remembrance as well
as wonderment and discovery.

As of July 26, 2006 we have begun the Year of
the Red Magnetic Moon!

Indeed,
we now are less than 6 and a half years from the completion
of the 5,125 year Grand Mayan Cycle, culminating Winter Solstice
2012.
In fact, as of the New Year we are exactly 9 galactic spin cycles
from Dec 21, 2012. That's 9 perfect 260-day rounds!
The force of Divine Love is guiding all of us to evolve
that we may fulfill this Living
Prophecy,
remembering who we are, and why we are here.
Let us grow by helping one another,
serving Love in all ways - large and small.
As Chief Sonne Reyna says:

those with Enchanted Hearts, and those with Confused Hearts.

ON PURPOSE

from "The Art of Happiness
by Howard C. Cutler M.D. and H.H. the Dalai Lama
"I
believe that the very purpose of our life is to seek happiness.
That is clear. Whether one believes in religion or not, whether
one believes in this religion or that religion, we are all seeking
something better in life.
So, I think, the very motion of our life is towards happiness...
I believe that happiness can be achieved through training the
mind.
When I say 'training the mind,' in this context I'm not referring
to 'mind' merely as one's cognitive ability or intellect. Rather,
I'm using the term in the sense of the Tibetan word Sem,
which has a much broader meaning, closer to 'psyche' or 'spirit';
it includes intellect and feeling, heart and mind.
By bringing about a certain inner discipline, we can undergo
a transformation of our attitude, our entire outlook and approach
to living."
"When
we speak of inner discipline, it can of course involve many
things, many methods. But generally speaking, one begins by
identifying those factors which lead to happiness and those
factors which lead to suffering. Having done this, one then
sets about gradually eliminating those factors which lead to
suffering and cultivating those which lead to happiness. That
is the way."
"If
you desire happiness, you should seek the causes that give rise
to it, and if you don't desire suffering, then what you should
do is to ensure that the causes and conditions that give rise
to it no longer arise. An appreciation of this causal principle
is very important."
Dr.
Howard C. Cutler reminds us of the essential point that "happiness
is determined more by one's state of mind than by external events.
In identifying one's mental state as the prime factor in achieving
happiness, of course that doesn't deny that our basic physical
needs for food, clothing and shelter must be met. But once these
basic needs are met, the message is clear: we don't need more
money, we don't need greater success or fame, we don't need
the perfect body or even the perfect mate - right now, at this
very moment, we have a mind, which is all the basic equipment
we need to achieve complete happiness."
The
Dalai Lama continues: "Now sometimes people confuse happiness
with pleasure. For example, not long ago I was speaking to an
Indian audience a Rajpur. I mentioned that the pupose of life
was happiness, so one member of the audience said that Rajneesh
teaches that our happiest moment comes during sexual activity,
so through sex one can become the happiest. He wanted to know
what I thought of that idea. I answered that from my point of
view, the highest happiness is when one reaches the stage of
Liberation, at which there is no more suffering. That's genuine,
lasting happiness. True happiness relates more to the mind and
heart. Happiness that depends on physical pleasure is unstable;
one day its there, the next day it may not be."
"So,
let us reflect on what is truly of value in life, what gives
meaning to our lives, and set our priorities on the basis of
that. The purpose of our life needs to be positive. We weren't
born with the purpose of causing trouble, harming others. For
our life to be of value, I think we must develop basic good
human qualities - warmth, kindness, compassion.
Then our life becomes meaningful and more peaceful - happier."
"Sometimes
when I meet old friends, it reminds me how quickly time passes.
And it makes me wonder if we've utilized our time properly or
not.
Proper utilization of time is so important. While we have this
body, and especially this amazing human brain, I think every
moment is something precious. Our day-to-day existence is very
much alive with hope, although there is no guarantee of our
future. There is no guarantee that tomorrow at this time we
will be here. But still we are working for that purely on the
basis of hope. So, we need to make the best use of our time.
I believe that the proper utilization of time is this:
if you can, serve other people, other sentient beings.
If not, at least refrain from harming them.
I think that is the whole basis of my philosophy."
