DEAN FACTS:
Dean plans no cuts in military spending, wishing to increase "homeland security" and expand the "war on terror" into places like Saudi Arabia and Syria.

Dean proudly supported the Persian Gulf war, and the war on Afghanistan, claiming he will use military force anywhere in the world he sees fit.

Dean imparts a ONE-SIDED stance on the long standing brutal Israel-Palestine conflict, as he is heavily supported by the America-Israel Public Affairs Committee.

Ex-Governor Dean is a multi-millionaire; raised Republican; a Yale graduate; descendant of a long line of investment bankers. REGARDING THE ENVIRONMENT
While Dean professes to be a concerned "Environmentalist," the truth about his environmental record is clear to those who live in Vermont. As Annette Smith, the director of Vermonters for a Clean Environment, states, "Dean's attempts to run for president as an environmentalist is nothing but a fraud."

* "Former Vermont governor Howard Dean has sided most closely with the Bush administration, endorsing the National Governors Association policy, which opposed the Kyoto Protocol unless it included mandatory emissions cuts for developing countries. Of the Democrats now running, only Ohio Congressman Dennis Kucinich has stated, "the U.S. must ratify the Kyoto Protocol."

REGARDING MEDICAL MARIJUANA

Kucinich suports federal legalization of Medical Marijuana. An online news clip reads: " Senator John Kerry did not specifically address the U.S. Justice Department's raids on medical marijuana patients and caregivers. Thus far U.S. Rep. Dennis Kucinich of Ohio is the only Democratic candidate to explicitly condemn such attacks on seriously ill medical marijuana patients. Vermont Gov. Howard Dean, who worked to kill a medical marijuana bill in Vermont last year, has said he favors an FDA study but has refused to protect patients from arrest. In May, U.S. Sen. John Edwards (D-NC) told the San Francisco Chronicle he has no objection to the Justice Department's arresting patients. U.S. Sen. Joseph Lieberman (D-CT) and U.S. Rep. Richard Gephardt (D-MO) have previously supported legislation condemning state medical marijuana laws. The rest of the Democratic field has yet to take a position."

 

ON BIG BUSINESS

Congressman Dennis Kucinich is not a servant of corporate interest. He went so far as to personally march in the WTO protests in Seattle, Washington.

He gained Ohio loyalty by personally blocking the corrupted private takeover of a Municipal Power Company, saving taxpayers millions from what could have been an "Enron" of the 1970's!

ON WORKERS RIGHTS

While all the other democratic candidates talk about being very concerned about workers's rights, KUCINICH is the only one asserting that he will cancel NAFTA (North American Free Trade Act) and withdraw from the WTO (World Trade Organization), which both contribute to the demise of jobs for Americans, while granting corporations omni-potent capacity to make money at the expense of human dignity the world over.
