"It is time to free ourselves, to jettison our illusions and fears and transform age-old challenges with new thinking. We can conceive of peace as not simply the absence of violence but the active presence of the capacity for a higher evolution of human awareness, of respect, trust, and integrity. Of peace, wherein we all may tap the infinite capabilities of humanity to transform consciousness and conditions that impel or compel violence at a personal, group, or national level toward creating understanding, compassion, and love. We can bring forth new understandings where peace, not war, becomes inevitable. Can we move from wars to end all wars to peace to end all war?
"Citizens across the United States are now uniting in a great cause to establish a Department of Peace, seeking nothing less than the transformation of our society, to make non-violence an organizing principle, to make war archaic through creating a paradigm shift in our culture for human development for economic and political justice and for violence control. Its work in violence control will be to support disarmament, treaties, peaceful coexistence and peaceful consensus building. Its focus on economic and political justice will examine and enhance resource distribution, human and economic rights and strengthen democratic values.
"Domestically, the Department of Peace would address violence in the home, spousal abuse, child abuse, gangs, police-community relations conflicts and work with individuals and groups to achieve changes in attitudes that examine the mythologies of cherished world views, such as 'violence is inevitable' or 'war is inevitable'. Thus it will help with the discovery of new selves and new paths toward peaceful consensus. The Department of Peace will also address human development and the unique concerns of women and children. It will envision and seek to implement plans for peace education, not simply as a course of study, but as a template for all pursuits of knowledge within formal educational settings.
"Violence is not inevitable. War is not inevitable. Nonviolence and peace are inevitable. We can make of this world a gift of peace which will confirm the presence of universal spirit in our lives. We can send into the future the gift which will protect our children from fear, from harm, from destruction."
Dennis Kucinich, 2004 Democratic Presidential Candidate
the 13-Moon Calendar, the first quarter of this year
is coded with the I-Ching Hexagram called
"POWER OF THE PEOPLE."
Now, more than ever, as people who care about our planet, the preservation of human rights, and the true actualization of peace, it is imperative that we apply our spiritual ideals into practical arenas. The political arena, though over run with private interest, is the place where powerful decisions are made that affect the whole.
vote for Dennis is a vote for Peace.
To support the Peace Candidate, those of us who can, must register to vote as Democrats in order to participate in the Democratic primaries which will be held at different times throughout the United States (from Galactic through Lunar Moon; Feb, 2004 - Sept, 2004), to elect the Democratic Candidate. This is the crucial time to vote our hopes not our fears!
Let's make our voices heard!

Our nation's checkbook tells us that our priorities are all wrong -- and Kucinich is the one candidate bold enough to say so. He calls for funding human needs such as universal healthcare, education, environmental cleanup and expanded programs for the poor, the cities, the elderly, and he does it at no additional taxpayer expense by shaving up to 15 percent of the billion dollar a day Pentagon budget."
"Having met Dennis Kucinich in person, we were astounded by his impeccable balance of spirituality and practicality. Indeed, his voice is manifesting as a reflection of our collective consciousness - revealing that there is a powerful, radiant force of people that believe in the Dream of Peace. Dennis' authenticity and capability as a caring and visionary human being emanate true compassion and wisdom, and deserve to be supported by all who seek fundamental transformation of the status quo."

Blaze Compton writes in
An Open Letter to Conscious Citizens of the United States of America:
"...For decades conscious citizens have participated in uncountable meditations, intensives, seminars, study groups and various heart expanding practices and disciplines. The accumulated pressure of those spiritual activities has created a crack in the political darkness. Now, in the guise of the Kucinich campaign, the Light of Truth is filtering through that crack. Dennis Kucinich, as our political torchbearer, understands that our very BEING and the very BEING of the United States of America is Compassion,is Brotherhod/Sisterhood, is Cooperation..."
Congressman Kucinich is known to honor the Roerich Peace Pact which upholds the protection of Art, Science and Spirituality and "Peace through Culture." In 1987, he participated in the first global peace meditation - the "Harmonic Convergence," and has been tracking the work of Dr. Jose Arguelles ever since.
DENNIS KUCINICH WRITES:
" As citizen-activists the world over merge, they can become an irresistible force to create peace and protect the planet. From here will come a new movement to abolish nuclear weapons and all weapons of mass destruction. From here will come the demand for sustainable communities, for new systems of energy, transportation and commerce. From here comes the future rushing in on us. How does one acquire the capacity for active citizenship? The opportunities exist every day...Active citizenship begins with an envisioning of the desired outcome and a conscious application of spiritual principles."
